Until someone else can DM, this character is a NPC only! This means she will show up, but only for brief points of time!
Format Version: 2.0
Name: Saya Shuri
Race: Half-elf
Age: 70 Winters (in half-elf counting, about 19)
Preffered Region of Faerûn: The Sword Coast, the Dales, and Cormyr
Height, Weight: 5'8", 115 lbs (aka, tall and slim like an elf)
Visual Description: Tall and slim with a bit of muscle and glaring black eyes, she has long black hair with a greenish cast to it, usually kept in a pony-tail by an emrald studded silver hair-clasp. She wears dark green leathers with mid-range gray seams, black boots, and black leather gloves. Her jerkin has no sleeves; instead, she wears black studded leather vambraces. She also has a forest-green strip of cloth tied around her head that goes across her forehead and ties under her pony-tail.
Mental Description: Keeps to herself mostly. Slightly selfish, very protective of things (or people) that she cares for. Those she respects have her undying loyalty, and can trust her with their lives and more. The level of loyalty and trustworthiness depends on the level of respect she feels. She is always extremely protective of children of any race except orcs, goblins, and kobolds
Class: Thief/Illusionist
Sub-Class: Devout worshipper of both Mask, God of thieves, and Tymora, the Lady of Luck
History of Character: Her mother was an outcast Elf-mage and her father was a self-exiled member of the Shadowthieves Guild in Amkethra. They lived in Eveningstar in northern Cormyr until Saya's twelfth winter, trying to make honest wages. Her mother cast minor enchantments for fees such as weatherproofing a roof or mending crockery, and her father tried his hand at many trades like farming (woefully unsuccessful) and ended up as a hire-sword for caravans, frequently augmenting his pay with the pay of others as long as he could easily pull it off without getting caught. He would sometimes teach Saya his skills, as would his mother, and she puts those skills to use often, as well as developing her own unique skills. She wanders from city to town to village, offering her skills as an Illusionist to local taverns and houses as entertainment in return for food or a roof for the night; then she plys her skill as a thief to earn a modest amount gold. From time to time she visits her mother - her father long dead from old age - on the outskirts of a small village near Espar in Cormyr. She has recently developed an urge to join an adventuring company that would appreciate her decades of built skills.
Equipment: On her person she carries several daggers and throwing knives, a small sword she acquired from a foreign merchant called a "wakizashi", and behind the non-descript buckle of her belt a set of lockpicks and other thieves tools, and a second set scattered in several hidden places; in her everpresent rucksack she has an oil lantern, several bottels of oil, two weeks of rations, several nera-priceless bottles of what the priests called 'healing quaffs', wrapped in severa; changes of clothing. She also wears a full cloak that was weatherproofed by her mother.
